Why it’s important: The Pro Shuttle challenges prospects to accelerate, decelerate, and re-accelerate over short distances. Soccer prospects often need to accelerate rapidly to chase down a ball or make a breakaway run. They must also decelerate quickly to avoid defenders or execute precise movements. This drill emphasizes the importance of proper footwork and body control. Athletes must use quick, precise steps and maintain balance while navigating the course, which translates directly to soccer movements on the field.
